Royalmughals.org carries out extensive research within all aspects of the Timurid dynasty. Financial grants are also provided to field researchers.
Over the recent years RoyalMughals.org have funded field research such as trips to India, Burma and Pakistan to conduct DNA testing of people claiming to be descendants of Amir Taimur, and the Great Mughals that followed.
All applications are reviewed by a Research Funding Committee at Royal Mughal.org and the finalists are short listed for further discussion and interview. Applications are open to all nationalities and not generally limited to any specific discipline, provided that they are related to the Timurid Dynasty.
Applicants are expected to have Ph.D degree or are working towards a Ph.D and have published research articles in the past. Applicants not meeting this requirement may still apply however application will be subject to a comprehensive review prior to shortlisting.
Research grants are generally between $1,000 to $5,000 USD.
It should be noted however, that funding and grants are subject to terms and conditions of RoyalMughals.org such as the funds are only allowed to be used on direct costs associated with the research, and not expenses such as salaries, Terms of the grant also provide RoyalMughal.org the first right to publish or refuse to publish the final research and findings.
